Brief Recap: Woodward’s Summer Race Series Begins Thursday

This summer, Park City residents and visitors have several exciting events to look forward to. On Thursday, the Woodward Park City will host its first Summer Race Series event from 5:45 to 7:45 p.m. The series is open to bikers of all ages, with fees of $5 for members and $20 for guests. Riders will be grouped into male and female age categories of 7-13, 14-17, and 18+. There will be a half-hour of practice before the timed runs start at 5:45, with three more races scheduled for this summer on July 25, Aug. 19, and Sept. 26.

In addition to the race series, Deer Valley Resort has introduced a new scenic chairlift promotion starting this week. Kids can ride for free with the purchase of an adult ticket, while adult and senior one-round trip tickets are $10, and unlimited access tickets are $20. Tickets should be purchased online in advance as there is a capacity limit. Chairlifts are running daily from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., through Labor Day and on weekends until Sept. 22.

On Saturday, Deer Valley will be hosting their third Brews and Tunes event from noon to 2:30 p.m., where guests can enjoy beers, live entertainment, and food at Snowshoe Tommy’s atop Bald Mountain
