Tara Berry from Topeka, Kansas, recently made history by breaking the Guinness World Record for having the most tattoos of the same musician on her body. Berry, a devoted fan of pop icon Madonna, proudly displayed 18 tattoos of the singer on her body, surpassing British woman Nikki Patterson’s previous record of 15 tattoos of rapper Eminem.
Berry’s love for Madonna began in 2016 when the singer announced she was looking for tattooed fans to appear in a music video. Although Berry’s tattoos were not completed in time for the video, she continued adding more Madonna tattoos over a six-month period. Inspired by the previous record and driven by her passion for the singer, Berry decided to aim for breaking the record and collaborated with her tattoo artist to create stunning ink renditions of the iconic pop star.
The Madonna tattoos on Berry’s body depict various images from the singer’s illustrious career, including a recreation of the memorable kiss between Madonna and Britney Spears at the 2003 MTV Video Music Awards. Berry spoke about how proud she is of her accomplishments and how much attention her tattoos receive. Many people often ask to take pictures and videos of her inked arms as she proudly shows them off.
In total, Berry estimated that she spent more than $9,800 on her Madonna tattoos. She shared that she had to make various arrangements and deals to cover the costs of her ambitious tattoo project. Despite the financial investment, Berry’s love and admiration for Madonna are clearly visible through the impressive collection of tattoos that have now earned her a spot in history as a Guinness World Record holder.
