Mummy with Only Three Fingers Resembles an Extraterrestrial

A recent study by Peruvian scientists has shed light on the unique characteristics of a three-fingered mummy discovered in a tomb in Peru, known as “Maria.” Despite initial speculation, DNA analysis performed in 2018 confirmed that Maria was a modified pre-Columbian mummy.

Researchers observed that Maria’s elongated skull, which does not show signs of artificial deformation, possesses unusual features such as a lack of hair and external ears. Her skull, with exceptional length but no external signs of compression, has a cranial vault that exhibits unusual growth and development. CT scans further revealed protruding jaw bones and bulging eyes, as well as missing and severely worn teeth.

What truly sets Maria apart are her hands and feet, which are humanoid in appearance but with distinct differences. The mummy’s three-fingered hands are wider than a human hand and 20 cm longer, with each finger containing 4 phalanges instead of the usual 3. Similarly, her three-toed feet are wider than a human foot and 23 cm longer, with each toe possessing 4 phalanges. Maria’s heel bone, unlike a normal human foot, lacks a hump at the back, suggesting a different method of maintaining balance while walking.

Furthermore, the mummy was found coated in diatomaceous earth
