Olin Business School Recognizes Distinguished Alumni of 2024 – The Source

The Koch family, including Paul and Elke Koch and Roger and Fran Koch, were recently honored with the 2024 Dean’s Medal from Olin Business School at Washington University in St. Louis for their long-standing support of the school. The family members have been dedicated supporters of Olin for over four decades.

In 2016, the Koch brothers and their spouses made a significant contribution of $1 million to establish a family business initiative at Olin. This initiative laid the foundation for the Koch Center for Family Enterprise, created in 2019 with gifts and commitments totaling over $9 million. The center focuses on studying family-owned businesses and providing support to the family business community.

The Koch family was recognized at the annual Olin Distinguished Alumni Awards held at the Missouri Botanical Garden on April 4, where they were celebrated for their contributions to the school. In addition to the Koch family, three outstanding alumni were also honored at the event: Andrea Adegas Faccio, Eric M. Green, and JD Ross, who have achieved distinction in their respective careers.
