Los Angeles Lakers are set to draft Bronny James in the upcoming 2024 NBA Draft, making history as the first active father/son duo in the league. Before beginning his college career, Bronny faced a scary incident in July 2023 when he went into cardiac arrest while working out at USC. He was later diagnosed with a congenital heart defect, but was medically cleared to play basketball and is now ready to join the NBA.
Bronny James concluded his high school career at Sierra Canyon as a highly rated four-star recruit and a McDonald’s All-American. As a guard, he averaged 14.1 points, 5.6 rebounds, 2.4 assists, and 1.7 steals during his senior year of high school. LeBron James had until Friday to decide whether to opt out of his contract with the Lakers, but it is widely expected that he will re-sign with the team.
