Police report man fleeing scene following attempted robbery at Dunham’s Sports

In December, two individuals were charged with kidnapping the store manager and stealing two large coolers filled with guns from Dunham’s Sports in Benton Township. This is the second attempted robbery at this particular store within the last six months. Recently, a masked suspect entered the store and tried to steal handguns by breaking the glass of the gun case. However, when store workers began to respond, the suspect fled without taking any firearms.

The incident occurred at around 10 a.m. on Sunday, as reported by WSJM Radio. The suspect’s actions have raised concerns about the safety and security of the store, prompting authorities to urge anyone with information to contact the Berrien County Sheriff’s Office at (269)-983-7141. It is important for the community to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activity to help prevent further criminal incidents.
