Thunder and Rain Delay NASCAR Cup Series Race at Nashville Superspeedway

The NASCAR Cup Series race at Nashville Superspeedway was delayed due to inclement weather. A lightning delay and eventual rain caused disruptions on the 1.33-mile concrete oval in Lebanon, Tennessee, resulting in a yellow flag being waved on Lap 136 of the Ally 400. The field was brought to pit road and stopped on Lap 137.

At the time of the delay, Christopher Bell was leading the race, with Tyler Reddick, Kyle Larson, Brad Keselowski, and Chase Elliott following behind. The top 10 also included Denny Hamlin, Chris Buescher, William Byron, Martin Truex Jr., and Carson Hocevar.

The race had seen two previous caution periods before the weather delay. John Hunter Nemechek spun at Lap 116, causing the second caution, and Ty Gibbs spun 10 laps later to trigger the third yellow flag.
