In June, Vladimir Kuznetsov and Alexei Stolyarov, also known as “Vovan and Lexus”, recorded a video call with British Foreign Minister David Cameron where they successfully tricked him into thinking he was speaking to the former Ukrainian president. During the call, they discussed Ukraine, the USA, and NATO for about fifteen minutes. This duo is well-known in Russia for deceiving numerous politicians, including Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, and in 2022, British Minister of Defense Ben Wallace.
