Defensive standout Beekman and Warriors come to terms on two-way deal

After the 2024 NBA Draft, the Golden State Warriors and former Virginia Cavaliers guard Reece Beekman agreed on a two-way contract, according to a report from The Athletic’s Shams Charania. Throughout his four seasons at Virginia, Beekman started in 121 out of the 126 games he played and averaged 9.5 points and 5.0 assists in 32.7 minutes per game. Despite his impressive scoring abilities, Beekman is known for his defensive prowess, earning three-time ACC All-Defensive team selection and two-time ACC Defensive Player of the Year Award.

With this new two-way contract, Beekman will now have the opportunity to prove himself with the Warriors during the upcoming season while also having up to 50 games to showcase his skills and earn a spot as a solid player in the NBA after going undrafted.
