In the final group fixture at the Under-17 World Cup, Spain defeated Japan 2-1, with Barcelona forward Marc Guiu scoring the second goal for La Rojita. Junyent opened the scoring for Spain after just eight minutes of the match, and Japan equalised five minutes before halftime.

During the second half, Junyent provided an assist to Guiu, who scored the winning goal and secured Spain’s spot in the quarter-finals. Junyent was awarded man of the match honors.

Spain will now face either Germany or the USA in a quarter-final match to advance to the semi-finals. If they play against Germany, Spain’s Barca contingent will come up against Noah Darvich, who has been performing well for his national side at this tournament.
