CMCC collaborates with General Dynamics Bath Iron Works to implement innovative manufacturing technology

Central Maine Community College (CMCC) and General Dynamics Bath Iron Works have partnered to launch a new 3-week Manufacturing Technology short-term training program. Designed to give students essential skills and hands-on experience, the program prepares them for rewarding careers in the manufacturing industry.

The program is open to all, with no previous experience required. Students will attend 40 hours per week for a total of 120 hours and receive a $500 attendance incentive each week. The best part? The entire program is 100% free of cost.

The training curriculum covers technical math, hand and power tool operation and safety, operation of air tools, oxy cutting, track welding, basic layout, material handling, drilling and fastening, and other essential manufacturing skills. Upon successful completion of the training, qualified students will have the opportunity to interview with General Dynamics Bath Iron Works.
