The investigation into the deadly knife attack at a private European Championship party in Wolmirstedt has been ongoing for nearly 20 days. Authorities have disclosed that the 27-year-old perpetrator was not under the influence of any drugs or alcohol, as confirmed by a toxicological report following an autopsy. The incident began with an argument between the perpetrator and a fellow countryman, resulting in the fatal injury of the latter.
The perpetrator then proceeded to stab three other individuals at a private EM-Public-Viewing event, leaving two people critically injured and one with minor injuries. Upon police arrival, the perpetrator confronted officers with a knife and was subsequently shot and killed. Despite extensive investigations, including interviews with witnesses and an autopsy report, the exact reasoning behind the attacker’s actions remains unclear.
Authorities have ruled out any religious affiliations as a cause for the attacker’s actions. However, they are still working to piece together events leading up to the attack and understand why it resulted in such a violent outcome. The tragic incident continues to raise questions about what motivated this individual to target innocent football fans at an event meant for enjoyment rather than violence.
