Currently, they are the second highest-ranked SEC program behind Tennessee at No. 8.

Other SEC teams also feature prominently in the top 25 of the coaches poll, including Alabama at No. 22 and Kentucky at No. 16. Mississippi State has even entered the rankings for the first time this year with an impressive 5-0 record. Arkansas, Auburn, and South Carolina also received votes in the poll, showing that there is strength throughout the entire conference early on in the season.
