Kesko’s central warehouse fire has been put out

Vantaa’s central warehouse, listed on the Helsinki Stock Exchange, experienced a fire earlier today, as reported by the central Uusimaa rescue service. The roof of the central warehouse in Hakkila, spanning approximately 95,000 square meters, caught fire and caused concern.

The incident attracted a response from 17 units of the rescue service to address the situation promptly. Despite an area of about 10 square meters being affected by the fire, it was successfully extinguished without any injuries reported. The cause of the fire was attributed to roof work that was taking place at the time.

The prompt response from the rescue service helped contain the fire at the central warehouse in Vantaa, mitigating any potential damage to the structure or surrounding areas. The incident serves as a reminder of the importance of proactive safety measures in industrial settings to prevent such accidents and ensure the well-being of employees and property.

The central warehouse is expected to resume normal activities promptly following the incident, having been a key component of Kesko’s operations. More detailed information was provided by the central Uusimaa rescue service to update on progress and resolution of the fire.
