Broncos Roster Series: Player No. 20 – Fullback Michael Burton

Michael Burton is a 9-year veteran fullback who currently wears No. 20 for the Denver Broncos. Prior to joining the Broncos last spring, Burton played for the Detroit Lions, Chicago Bears, and New Orleans Saints. He attended training camp with the Saints in 2019 but did not make it to their 53-man roster.

Burton is primarily known for his blocking abilities, having recorded 35 rushes for 71 yards and one touchdown, as well as 21 receptions for 131 yards and one score throughout his career. He is currently the only true fullback on the team ahead of training camp, barring any plans to convert tight end/fullback Nate Adkins to a full-time fullback role.

Despite being in his ninth year, Burton signed a one-year contract with the Broncos last spring and made significant contributions to special teams in 2023. His chances of making the 53-man roster seem high as he is currently the only true fullback on the team.
