Dixon, world champion, set to compete against fellow Briton Harper

Manchester’s Co-op Live arena will host the first boxing event at the newly built venue on Saturday, August 24th. The headline fight will feature unbeaten lightweight world champion Rhiannon Dixon defending her WBO belt against fellow Briton Terri Harper.

Dixon, who is from London, has a record of 10 professional fights and has won every single one of them. She won her WBO belt from Karen Elizabeth Carabajal in April and is now ready to make her first title defense. Harper, who is from Doncaster, has a record of 14 wins, 2 draws, and 2 losses. She is looking to become a three-weight champion by winning this fight.

Harper expressed her respect for Dixon and acknowledged her opponent’s humility and lack of ego. She will be dropping down to the lightweight division for this fight and is focused on getting a solid win to get back on top. Dixon, on the other hand, is confident in her abilities and ready to defend her title against Harper.

The event at Co-op Live promises to be an exciting night of boxing for fans at the state-of-the-art venue in Manchester. The undercard features Chorley light-welterweight Jack Catterall taking on American Regis Prograis. This fight will surely be a highlight of the night and fans are eagerly waiting to witness it live at Co-op Live arena on August 24th.
