The Wolves have announced the signing of Brazilian defender Pedro Lima from Sport Club do Recife, pending a work permit and international clearance. Lima, an 18-year-old who hails from the same city as his new teammate Matheus Cunha, has agreed to a five-year contract with the option of an additional 12 months.
The arrival of Lima has been highlighted by the club on their official social media platforms, with sporting director Matt Hobbs expressing his delight at the addition of the young defender to the first-team squad. Hobbs noted that Wolves had been pursuing Lima for some time and that he is fully committed to the club’s project.
Lima is the fourth signing for Wolves this summer, following the loan agreement with Jorgen Strand Larsen from Celta Vigo earlier in the day. The club’s rapid activity in the transfer market shows their ambition and determination to strengthen the squad ahead of the new season.
