Kiran Amegadjie, a tackle from Yale University, announced on Monday that he will enter the 2024 NFL Draft. This is an exception as it’s not common for players from the Ivy League to make such an announcement as the college season winds down.

Amegadjie played right guard as a freshman and moved to left tackle in 2022. He was an All-Ivy first-team selection in 2023, but his season was cut short by a quad injury that required surgery. Despite this setback, Senior Bowl executive director Jim Nagy said in October that his staff ranked Amegadjie as the only player below the top division of college football with a chance to be selected on the second day of the draft.

The fact that Amegadjie couldn’t do any on-field work leading up to the draft could impact his ultimate spot, but it seems likely that he will hear his name called at some point. It is worth monitoring his progress and seeing where he ends up in the draft.
