Manchester City goalkeeper Scott Carson has extended his contract with the club until the summer of 2025. The 38-year-old joined City on loan from Derby in 2019 and made the move permanent in 2021.
With just two appearances for the club so far, Carson hopes to continue to support and help the other goalkeepers on the team in their quest for more trophies. Despite being the third-choice goalkeeper behind Ederson and Stefan Ortega, Carson is excited to continue learning from Pep Guardiola, Xabi Mancisidor, and the talented group of players at City.
Carson made his debut for Manchester City in a Premier League match against Newcastle in May 2021, and his second appearance came in a Champions League match against Sporting Lisbon during the 2021-22 season. Having been capped four times for England, Carson has played for 10 different clubs over the course of his career, including Liverpool, Aston Villa, West Brom, and Turkish side Bursaspor. Despite his vast experience, Carson remains committed to honing his skills and contributing to the success of Manchester City.
