The Chargers have recently added a number of new players to their roster, with two of them coming from head coach Jim Harbaugh’s Michigan team. Offensive lineman Karsen Barnhart has agreed to terms with the team and will be joining third-round linebacker Junior Colson and seventh-round wide receiver Cornelius Johnson in making the move from Ann Arbor to Los Angeles.
In addition to the Michigan players, the Chargers have also added quarterback Casey Bauman to their depth chart. Bauman had an impressive season at Augustana where he threw for 2,878 yards and 29 touchdowns. This influx of new talent will surely add depth and competition to the Chargers’ roster as they prepare for the upcoming season.
The Chargers have also secured deals with several other undrafted free agents including Luke Benson from Georgia Tech, Akeem Dent from Florida State, Jaelen Gill from Fresno State, and Thomas Harper from Notre Dame, among others. These young players bring a lot of potential and talent to the team, which will help them compete at a higher level in the future.
