Despite this, there has been an increase in ultra-broadband coverage in these villages, with 63.9% having “Fiber to the Home” coverage by 2021. This has led to an increase in workers opting for smart-working after the Covid-19 pandemic and a trend towards remote work opportunities.
The research also highlights a growing trend among workers who want to move to more isolated places or small towns. Additionally, it shows that digitalization is improving in these villages, with many companies now having a “High” or “Very high” level of digitalization. This presents opportunities for economic and social development in the region.
