Owner of UnBar Cafe wins $20K prize at JumpStart’s Small Business Impact Program Showcase

In Cleveland’s Larchmere neighborhood, a new business is set to open its doors this month: UnBar Cafe. The owner, Melissa Garrett, recently won the $20,000 top prize at JumpStart Inc.’s Small Business Impact Program Showcase. The event took place at Cleveland’s House of Blues and celebrated the 20th cohort of JumpStart’s Small Business Impact program.

JumpStart’s Small Business Impact program is a 12-week accelerator that provides entrepreneurs with personalized advice and business training. During the showcase, a pitch competition was held, emceed by Josh and Maria Cribbs. Josh Cribbs, a former wide receiver for the Browns, along with his wife Maria Cribbs, host a local television talk show.
