April 29th marks the date for FHSU’s upcoming Science Café focusing on retroviruses

Dr. Eric Gillock, a professor of biological sciences at FHSU, will lead a discussion on endogenous retroviruses at the Science Café event on Monday, April 29th. These genetic parasites are found in the genomes of most eukaryotic cells and make themselves at home without invitation, making them difficult to remove.

The Science Café presentation is sponsored by FHSU’s Science and Mathematics Education Institute and will be held at The Venue in Thirsty’s Brew Pub & Grill. This event is open to the public and free of charge. For more information, inquiries can be directed to Cari Rohleder at [email protected] or 785-628-4743. Additional details can be found on the FHSU Science and Mathematics Education Institute website, the FHSU Science Café webpage, and the FHSU Science Café Facebook page.
